Risk Management, A Business Perspective

6 November 08.15-11.30 Track: Project Management

ISPE CEUs: 0.2

Risk: A factor, element or course (of action) involving uncertain danger or hazard; Risk Management: Process of identification, analysis, quantification and either acceptance or mitigation of uncertainty in decision making through the appropriate action or inaction, given the business objectives and risk tolerance of the organization or individual.

We hear a lot about risk management from the regulatory perspective of our business, but, as in any business, there are a wide variety of risks to be managed in all aspects of the bio/pharm industry. Some are complimentary; some are contradictory. The secret is how an organization manages these inherent risks to take the right action (or inaction) today to successfully meet business objectives both today and tomorrow.

Also, join peers and industry leaders for interactive question and answer to discuss risk management from the business perspective, and in the following areas:

  • Corporate Overview
  • Research and development
  • Manufacturing
  • Engineering and construction
  • Sourcing
  • Operations and maintenance
