The idea for what would later become ISPE started in a conversation between friends at an airport cocktail lounge. Notes scribbled on a napkin became the international Society that continues to gather industry professionals for the common cause of being agents for industry change. Whether you simply enjoy good conversation with friends, or brainstorm the next innovation in pharmaceutical development or manufacturing, the Sunday night Welcome Reception in the Exhibit Hall is a great time to connect with other ISPE Members. Appetizers and beverages will be served. More than 300 suppliers on hand. (Must be 18 years old to enter.)

Make it Margaritaville on Monday night. Whether you drop by to meet with Annual Meeting delegates before heading off for other engagements, or make a night of it, Margaritaville is where to start for networking and entertainment. Reception style food, entertainment, beer, wine, and sodas included. ISPE Annual Meeting delegates will have exclusive access to this multi-level, island paradise theme venue. Each level has different features, and live band music plays throughout Margaritaville. The first floor features the Volcano and Coral Reefer Bars, front row seating in fishing boats, and a Volcano Show with a special “sacrifice” that ends with the blending of a perfect margarita. The second floor, Clipper Level, features indoor and outdoor seating modeled after the Clipper sea plane. The top “12 Volt” level gives you a view of the famous Las Vegas Strip.

Join ISPE leadership and colleagues in celebration. Special recognition awards will be presented for outstanding achievements in 2007 by Members, Affiliates, Chapters, committees, companies, authors, and students. ISPE leaders will provide their insight on Society accomplishments in 2007 and goals for 2008.

The famous adage, “When in Rome …,” certainly applies to this evening networking event. Consider yourself royalty as you step into the grandeur of the Temple and partake in a bountiful feast specially prepared for you and friends. Caesars Palace features one of the most spectacular pool settings this side of the Roman Empire and this special event takes full advantage.
This is the premier social event for 2007 ISPE Annual Meeting and is an excellent chance for you to form relationships that will later help you with your daily work.
