Werner Seiferlein
Werner Seiferlein, PhD, is Director Project & Technology in Sanofi-Aventis, Sterile Operations located in Frankfurt. He studied mechanical engineering at the Technical University of Darmstadt and holds a Master Degree in mechanical engineering. He received a PhD from Technical University of Berlin, faculty of economics and management. Seiferlein has more than 22 years experience in the field of active pharmaceutical ingredients and drug product manufacturing and facility management as well. He managed various remodeling and new investment projects in Germany as well as abroad and has obtained essential knowledge in the fields of process analysis and optimization. Before he has got his current job, he was head of engineering for process development and R&D of Aventis Pharma GmbH, Germany head of industrial engineering and head of DP global engineering of Aventis.Seiferlein is member of the Management Committee of the Affiliate Germany/Austria/Switzerland, of the ISPE Technical Documents Facilities Subcommittee, Co-chair for the review of the existing OSD Baseline® and has been speaker on numerous ISPE-Conferences.
