Janice Abel
Janice Abel is Director of Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology Industries for Invensys Process Systems. She has been involved with the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical industries throughout most of her 20 year professional career. This includes consulting with clients on regulatory requirements, enterprise control, risk management, wireless technologies, and operational excellence programs. Abel has written numerous articles and is currently on the Pharmaceutical Engineering Publication Committee and Biotech COP. Her experience includes the automation and application of bioreactors and other processes in the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical industries. Abel has a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Clark University, a master’s degree in chemical engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
