Michelle Foust

Michelle Foust, PharmD, is the Director of New Product Development for Almac Clinical Services. She has 18 years experience in the clinical research arena. Foust began her career as a Pharmacy Project Manager for the Duke Clinical Research Institute (DCRI), the world's largest academic clinical research organization. There, she was instrumental in developing a group able to interact with the clinical community in a creative manner, rather than simply serving as a packaging and distribution center. When Foust moved into the role of Director of Clinical Services she was responsible for managing project staff overseeing the clinical supplies management aspect of global studies in various therapeutic areas. The DCRl Pharmacy was acquired by Almac Clinical Services in June 2000. In her most recent role as Director of New Product Development, Foust works closely with the external market to foster and develop opportunities for Almac Clinical Services, and provides guidance to staff on the development of processes and procedures in support of new services. Foust received her Bachelor of Science in pharmacy and Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She serves as an instructor for the DIA Investigational Supply Process training course and has presented at several seminars and workshops within the clinical research industry. Foust is Past Chair of the ISPE Investigational Products North America Steering Committee, and currently serves on the ISPE North American Education Committee.
