Gary Johnson
Gary Q. Johnson, PE, is Chemical Engineer and Consultant specializing in developing containment, industrial ventilation, and procedural solutions for controlling workplace exposures and for providing maintenance and troubleshooting training to sustain results. He has broad experience across manufacturing processes providing controls for hazardous materials from his 27 year tenure with Procter & Gamble. During his tenure, Johnson developed and implemented data based dust control system maintenance and troubleshooting procedures and training programs for global implementation at P&G sites. In the 5 years since retiring from P&G, he has provided consulting to pharmaceuticals, consumer products, plastics, coatings, and metal working industries leaving P&G as well as numerous technical training courses and web seminars. As a member of the ISPE team developing the second edition of the Baseline® Guide for Oral Solid Dosage Forms, Johnson is a co-chapter leader of the Environmental Health & Safety chapter team. He was a member of the American Conference of Government Industrial Hygienists Ventilation Committee (publisher of the handbook, Industrial Ventilation, A Manual of Recommended Practice for Design, (26th edition, February 2007)) during the period it developed the first edition of a companion manual on system maintenance, Industrial Ventilation, A Manual of Recommended Operation and Maintenance (February 2007).
