Benjamin Romero
Benjamin Romero is a Principal Packaging Engineer in the World Wide Packaging Technology (WWPT) department within the Technical Operations business unit of Bristol-Myers Squibb. He has extensive experience in the field of thermal package design, validation and manufacturing, gained while working for a cold chain services and products supplier. His areas of responsibility have touched all areas of cold chain including package insulation, phase change material science and electronic temperature monitors. His work in the field of cold chain has yielded him peer recognition in the form of a 2004 IOPP Ameristar, and WPO Worldstar awards in the pharmaceutical category. His background also includes experience in primary packaging for implantable devices with Stryker Howmedica Osteonics. He has a BS in mechanical engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology, and is a CPP (IOPP Certified Packaging Professional).
