Dustin Schafer
Dustin Schafer, PE, LEED AP, is a licensed mechanical engineer with a background in utility design for biopharmaceutical facilities, sustainable and ecological design and project management. He has recent experience as a green building consultant with a Kansas City architectural firm where his duties included schematic level integration of sustainable design features such as natural ventilation and daylighting, as well as heating/cooling load reduction analysis and computer simulation. Schafer has taught several courses at Kansas State University in the department of Architectural Engineering and Construction Science, including building electrical systems design, HVAC controls design and senior project – the capstone project design course for graduating architectural engineering students.
