Joseph De Paul
Joe De Paul leads the Genentech, Inc. facilities project engineering group in South San Francisco, California. The group is responsible for the capital utilities/infrastructure projects for manufacturing, research and development, process development, facilities operations and maintenance, and EHS. Prior to joining Genentech, De Paul was the principal engineer for utilities, clinical process, research and development, and quality assurance for Bayer Corp.'s biotechnology facility in Berkeley, California. His employment history includes time as the manager for utilities/fermentation maintenance for Anheuser Busch, Inc. in Fairfield, California, and manager of power and utilities for Campbell Soup Co. in Sacramento, California. De Paul served in the United States Navy for ten years as a propulsion engineer. He attended the University of California, Berkeley for mechanical engineering, Southern Illinois University, Carbondale for industrial engineering and holds an MBA in technology management.
