Tracks: Survival

What you will learn

Today’s times are challenging because all workers need to continually hone their professional and interpersonal skills to survive and thrive in today’s fiercely competitive environment. This session is an active workshop to provide individuals with the necessary tools needed for survival and growth during these turbulent times.

Today’s workers are in need of building their own ark so that they can stay afloat in the high waters of responsibilities and obligations, especially as it relates to the workplace. With so many demands placed on them, at home, at work, and in the community, and with the speed of life in general, it has become increasingly necessary to find a way to manage stress while continuing to do an effective job.

There are two components of the Ark that workers need to build. These are self-development, which is the outer-strength of the ark, and controlling stress, which provides the inner strength. This workshop will concentrate on the inner strength that we need to develop to learn to effectively manage our stress and thereby develop inner strength. Managing stress helps all workers to be more effective and energetic in both the workplace and at home.
